Jacaranda Serviced Apartments
A competition entry for a proposed development for Jacaranda Hotels, the site faces towards the North East, which provides the best views and maintains the building as close as possible to a due north south orientation, the ideal orientation for buildings of this nature, and reduces the effect of solar radiation on the building.
Externally, the building has been designed in an interesting configuration, modelling the facades by stepping them forwards and backwards. This internally allows for an interesting corridor configuration, which allows for two wider zones, each with a void to below, providing exciting circulation spaces. Externally the finishes are maintenance free and great care would be taken in providing a stunning lighting scheme, as the building is in such a prime location.
The building would be a Landmark, both during the daytime and at night.
